That's the bonus of rarely swearing. When you do--and we all do--it has greater effect.

I do believe a Canada without abortion is do-able...I really do.

A little late commenting, but this post was great! I totally missed International Women's Day - I usually do.

Thanks for the rallying cry for Canada without abortion. Your confident words make it sound do-able. (I laughed out loud when I read your reaction to the magazine pic, since as you mentioned in your post script, I'd never read you swear before. :) ) Okay , now I'm humming ABBA. Remember - Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream too. His dream became a reality. Here's hoping, working and praying that your dream becomes a reality some day soon.

As always; keep up the good work - well informed, positive and fun. '61' is fine by the way!
I continue to think that people can think through issues logically. That is to say they can understand their starting point and work it through to an end point. However, I often see media print that is fouled up in inconsistencies determined by bias, unacknowledged presuppositions and agenda. Seeing old - school feminist thought that has bocome only a mantra of 'choice' and the oft seen statement of 'pro - life' is 'anti - choice' tells of this inconsistent thinking. Feminism or whatever; I thought the whole thing was really trying to get to really and truly enjoying life. I have seen oodles of people accomplishing this irrespective of what they were 'doing' or how they were positioned demographically. They are reminiscent of the: 'we're not human doings we're human beings'.
I appreciate this site.

I do not want to take away from the seriousness of the subject but from the way you reacted to the age thing I think you need a little coaching. (of the light hearted kind) When your 32 making it to 33 is great and it just keeps on getting better. I remember when I turned 50 my thoughts were not " Oh My God " but hey rite on 1/2 a century is that neat or what. I hope you see where I am going with this. I am now pretty close to 3/4 of a century and can hardly wait. Life is much more enjoyable when you look favorably towards the future.
