A climate poetry-off

Published by at 9:25 am

Laura Ingraham has a poem by Al Gore on her home page. I copy it here:

One thin September soon
A floating continent disappears
In midnight sun
Vapors rise as
Fever settles on an acid sea
Neptune’s bones dissolve
- Al Gore’s climate change poem, “Our Choice”

Al! I am a poet too. Please, I would like to share a haiku I’ve been working on:

Copenhagen snow

Private jets idle and wait

God’s sense of humour

It’s very beautiful when we can share our emotions  through the written word. Someone pass me a tissue.

Tanya remarks: Change that last line to “Gore’s sense of humour” and I think we have a winner!

    Nicely done Andrea.

Just in case I do not comment again between now and Christmas.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND ALL THE BEST IN THE NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE.

I want to write and say, I’m very disappointed with this blog. When it started, I thought it was trying to show that people come to being prolife from many different viewpoints. I thought you guys were trying to show that the stereotypes of who is prolife is not true.

I’m very disappointed. More and more it seems like your blog takes pod shots at things totally unrelated to abortion. You alienate people by mixing causes. You seem mean spirited. I’m disappointed.
