It SOUNDS good, but it is a time bomb. It is all about "freedom" vs the totalitarian state. The totalitarian state can be anything: Marxism, Leninism, Communism, Socialism, Fascism. It is all about enslaving people, and these are the atheist varieties. Islam is no different, it is just the "religious" side of the same coin. The only alternative is Christianity, which is about setting the captive free. Proves to me that “multi-culturalism” and “pluralism,” although nice sounding, are in reality unworkable. Where countries have encouraged 'multiculturalism' versus 'pluralism' there arises the reality that 'parallel' systems claim equality. When the pre-existing system nurtures this equality then it should be no surprise that activities once considered to be unacceptable are being defended on the basis of the 'parallel' and 'equal' system. Pluralism on the other hand welcomes newcomers to a country with the understanding that cultural, ethnic and faith dimensions are to live within the pre-existing system.
