Sad news

I am sure many of you were following the story of Baby Isaiah May. I’m sorry to say he died today, shortly after being taken off life support.

Rest in peace, little one.

This story is one that hits close to home for me. My daughter was born with the cord wrapped around her neck, and she needed to be resuscitated. I wasn’t really aware of what was going on at the time–by the time I realized that she wasn’t crying, the crisis was over, and she was pink and healthy and in my arms.

Life is fleeting and precious. And all too fragile. I was really hoping that there might be a miracle in this case, but miracles don’t happen for wishing them. May his parents find peace and consolation.
