Stressful–and unnecessary

Published by at 11:58 am

Would anyone say Kate Middleton is not beautiful?

What about Audrey Hepburn?

So why would you force yourself to wear this, and then be subjected to a critical analysis play by play as to whether your dress became indecent?

Modest is the new sexy.

Kate is averagely pretty and very well presented, but I wouldn’t call her beautiful.

‘So why would you wear this?’ Umm? Maybe to get press? Further one’s career? Hope people think one never ages?
Like to stay out of the; ‘Who is beautiful framework?’.

Jennifer Lopez is so thoroughly talentless that this is about the only way for to stay in the spotlight. She certainly didn’t grab the spotlight with vocal talent or acting ability.

Mary Ann, I suppose my point was that if Kate wore more revealing clothing that wouldn’t make her more beautiful. “Who is beautiful?” wasn’t really the point, while I do think Kate is beautiful. But part of her beauty is the elegance and how she holds herself, while wearing pretty but not revealing clothes. She doesn’t make herself into a walking sex object.

Very good point Andrea, “elegance and how she holds herself” enters the domain of inner beauty where modesty, integrity, honesty and faith in one True God hold reign. With faith and love, Kate will walk past the bar, the casino and the divorce court, recognizing them as dens of iniquity. With love of husband, she will bear and raise their children, instilling in them virtues and character. How will the three women look in ten years? Look past the outer beauty to see the real beauty.

Actually I was just being snarky. I knew it wasn’t really the point. But I do think we have the tendency to start calling someone beautiful as soon as she becomes a celebrity or famous. Which is why I felt compelled to disagree with Andrea. I think she is quite ordinary except that she is famous, although she is elegant and modestly dressed for the most part. She has certainly succumbed to the tendency of the newly famous to starve themselves though and I don’t think we really have enough evidence yet to say she is a beacon of integrity, honesty and faith.
