1930s dating advice

February 26, 2014 by Andrea Mrozek 1 Comment

The sad part is, the content has changed but women’s magazines today essentially do the exact same thing: How to tips on how to get and keep a man.

Ah, how times have and haven’t changed! Although, I don’t think it’s as bad as magazine’s today in that, in many respects, the advice given in this 1930’s example isn’t very manipulative or cheap. A lot of the advice seemed to come down to being respectful of yourself and your date (instead of being a late, drunk, flirtatious, bra-less date).
