Settle down or ‘lean in’?

January 7, 2019 by Andrea Mrozek Leave a Comment

Women! Settle down sooner! As someone who received this advice often enough, it’s worth mentioning why it’s unhelpful. Women certainly are not exempt from making wise relationship and life decisions, but there’s no point in gearing this advice exclusively to women when men need it too–along with just about every aspect of our culture. In this article, published in National Review, I touch on why it’s harder than many think to simply settle down.

William F. Buckley Jr. 1925-2008

February 28, 2008 by Andrea Mrozek Leave a Comment

When I first heard of William F. Buckley some 20 years ago, I didn’t like him.

It was Christmas. I wanted rollerblades. I got a William F. Buckley Word a Day calendar.

Since then, my esteem for this man with a great vocabulary and a great vision has grown. He accomplished so much, and for the purposes of this site, we should honour him for holding the life line in our culture. Not merely for holding it, but for ardently and eloquently defending it.

Read more about his life, here.
