Andrea has been called many things in her years of pro-life work. Today, the Post referred to her as an “abortion foe.”
And she now refers to herself as a “big slice of heaven.” Seriously. I got a text message to that effect last night.
(My husband may or may not have given her a particularly sappy birthday card from us. Which may or may not have referred to her birthday as a “big slice of heaven.” Going forward of course, I (and we?) need to now refer to Ms. Mrozek as a “big slice of heaven.”)
See the Post article here.

I’ve gotta say, I don’t think I like it that Andrea was juxtaposed alongside Joyce Arthur. I think Andrea is a million times more reasonable than Joyce. (But I would say that, wouldn’t I?)
Any chance of the mainstream media getting a better spokesperson for the prochoice side than Joyce Arthur? Man, but I wish that those crisis pregnancy centres had continued with their lawsuits!
BTW, you gotta love how they place pictures of anti- and pro-abortion protesters alongside one another, as if the protests were about the same magnitude and intensity.

Two themes in the public sphere must be challenged: the coat hanger narrative, which, from what I have heard, has no basis in reality, but has become a bizarre pro-abortion symbol, and the “woman’s right to choose” mantra, which makes me crazy. If we deconstruct the latter, it (once again) makes women solely responsible for addressing the consequences (or outcome) of sexual activity. Wasn’t that what feminisim railed against back in the day?

Brigid, good point: “woman’s right to choose” mantra, which makes me crazy. If we deconstruct the latter, it (once again) makes women solely responsible for addressing the consequences (or outcome) of sexual activity. Wasn’t that what feminisim railed against back in the day?”
