I saw the show and I was taken in by it. I am an adoptive mother who was blessed with a child because a woman made the decision to allow her child to be born. I have personal history with this subject and have learned a lot over the years. I also work within an agency where many young women who struggle with their mental health and substance abuse issues find themselves pregnant. Many of my colleagues believe that abortion is the best answer to prevent these babies from being born with FAS or addicted to drugs. I however believe that with the right support, many of these women can be helped through their pregnancies and with the line up of prospective adoptive parents I see and know personally, these babies would have a chance. It is a tough question for me and I am struggling, however your interview has helped me in my continued journey with this issue. Thank you.
