All they want is respect. And equality.

Hahahahahahahaha.

Being topless in B.C. is legal. We have the right to be topless and this is wonderful,” GoTopless spokeswoman Denise Belisle said to a photo-snapping crowd that followed the marchers to Vancouver’s Robson Square. “What we need is respect. We need respect from society, we need respect from all of you.”

Really. (File under “The Onion in real life.”)

Your link is broken. But let me get this straight: women going topless are not getting the respect they feel they deserve? Maybe they are getting catcalls and wolf whistles? Well, golly gee, who woulda thunk it?

Maybe you won’t end up with legal troubles if you go topless in Canada. But the police aren’t the only ones who can do the harassing. And you ain’t going to get any sympathy from me if you go about complaining of sexual harassment because somebody made a catcall at you while you were topless.

When you go to the beach in France and see all the topless women flopping around, it isn’t at all sexy, or attractive, or alluring. It’s just kinda gross.
