Will this one be going to the Supreme Court, do you think?
To ask a doctor to kill a person is to ask him to violate the Hippocratic Oath. I don’t think there are very many people who would be willing to kill their loved ones. Why should we be asking the doctors to shoulder the burden?
The Hippocratic oath, not an obligation but a significant commitment, in Canada changed in the 70’s, I think U of T Medical School was the promoter, to an idea about ‘quality of life’ instead of ‘do no harm’. The slippery slope, often said to be a fear mongers irrational rant, has lead to this. All acts lead somewhere.
