I’m starting to think that education is the opium of the elite, and they’ve all been high for quite some time. It boggles my mind, truly astounds me that when results like this are released after years and years of very open sex education there are calls for what? More of the same.
byYoung people across the globe are having more unprotected sex and know less about effective contraception options, a multinational survey revealed on Monday. The “Clueless or Clued Up: Your Right to be informed about contraception” study prepared for World Contraception Day (WCD) reports that the number of young people having unsafe sex with a new partner increased by 111 percent in France, 39 percent in the USA and 19 percent in Britain in the last three years.

Hello.
Wondering what ‘spammy’ means. Tried to leave a comment and it was a bit too ‘spammy’. Edited the comment considerably to no avail.

Sometimes it’s the length of the comment, sometimes it’s the inclusion of too many links but most likely on a post like this, it’s using the word s*x.

Aha! That’s it. I was offering thoughts on the assumptions of ‘safe s*x’ programs. Assuming youth are bound by nature to be oriented to s*xual activity has an ‘expectancy effect’. Assuming youth can make ‘healthy choices’ when they haven’t developed the processing abilities for complex issues is misleading and fosters a sense that youth will keep themselves safe. A more helpful approach would see youth as developing persons who would benefit from supportive structures that would bring them to maturity when they really can handle life’s realities.
