…Circa 1950. A reader asked for my comments. I actually don’t see anything particularly controversial here. Women’s magazines today are doing exactly the same thing (here’s what you do to get and keep a man). However, they do so by giving sex tips. So remind me again, which one is supposed to offend me more?
On a different note, use of the term “boudoir” does amuse me, as does the idea that a girl would borrow a guy’s handkerchief to fix her lipstick. You should definitely have your own handkerchief for that.

I love the rule “Don’t talk while dancing, for when a man dances he wants to dance.” Truth be told, many men (me included) are likely so preoccupied with trying to not to step on the lady’s toes, we don’t have extra mental capacity to hold an intelligent conversation!
You can rest assured that if I had to lead, I wouldn’t want conversation either!! As it is, I’m usually counting in my head anyway. 🙂
