Don’t mess with Czechs here, either! (Just saying.)
Who knew? The Czechs make up a major cultural group in Texas. Very kind friends (who also happen to read PWPL, hence this post) brought back this mug for me. It is a “Dobré Ráno” (good morning) indeed, when you can celebrate Czech culture in Texas, in Ottawa, with a cup of coffee.

As a Texan with a Czech last name and great-grandfather (does that make me Czech? It seems to me that participation in a culture matters more to identity than genes, and I sadly know so little about Czech culture), this is a pleasant surprise to me. I should really try to learn more about my ancestry.
BTW, I discovered this blog lately via Seraphic Singles and I really enjoy it.
Thanks, Maggie. I think it qualifies at least a little… 🙂 You could do a field trip to the place where this mug was purchased! Somewhere near San Antonio, I think…
…or come up to Prague, Oklahoma…(just remember they rhyme it with plague here ;p)
…the kolache festival is a week from Saturday.
I am sad that they rhyme Prague with plague. But a kolache festival is awesome! for the uninitiated:
