Ezra Levant discusses babies born alive after abortions

February 2, 2013 by Andrea Mrozek 3 Comments

If you haven’t already, don’t forget to go to www.canadianTVfirst.ca and sign, so that Sun News can get equal treatment from the CRTC. Whether you love or hate Sun News is largely irrelevant, because a diversity of news voices is always good.

Meanwhile, here’s a clip of me speaking with Ezra about the latest scandal pertaining to babies born alive and left to die–how, we don’t know–when they were intended to be aborted.

    A couple of thoughts here:

    A. You mentioned in that interview that 77% of Canadians haven’t got a clue as to what Canadian (lack of) abortion law entails. I seem to remember that, not too long ago, that figure was around 90%. (I’ve been searching around the archives, but can’t find a citation). Even with the margin of error inherent in these polls, that is a DOUBLING of the people who are becoming aware of this issue. So kudos to you and all the people who are speaking up! You are making inroads!

    B. You mentioned a case in Calgary where the Foothills hospital was exposed in the Alberta Report by some nurses who were working there. They had witnessed live babies being born from intended abortions and then left to die. The Calgary Health Authority succeeded(?) in getting an injunction against the Alberta Report, which prevented the AR from reporting this matter. On what basis did the court grant the injunction? Was it to protect the privacy of the mothers of these abandoned babies, or was it to protect the privacy of the doctors who caused their demise?

    Hi Melissa,

I think the 90% poll you are referring to is on pages 13-14 of this report. http://files.efc-canada.net/si/Abortion/AbortionPollingPaperFebruary2012.pdf

Thanks for that, Faye. That’s a good resource to have.
