A, ahem, different kind of gift certificate. To help celebrate the holiday we observe in honour of a very famous, er, whatchamacallit, oh yeah, birth.
I wish I were making it up.
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, November 26, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Planned Parenthood of Indiana has announced just in time for Christmas that it will begin selling gift certificates at its clinics and online, which can be used for all PP services, including payment for birth control, STD testing, and abortions.
The Planned Parenthood of Indiana website says the gift cards can be used for “services or the recipient’s choice of birth control method,” and poses the question “Why not buy a loved one a gift this holiday season that they really need”?

Wouldn’t someone be offended by receiving this? I don’t get it. Even if you were all for birth control and abortion, WHY would you think this is a good gift? “Here’s one free prescription drug or dental extraction” wouldn’t be good either, even though I would find them useful.
People are weird.
Sick. Just sick. And I agree with Jennifer–if somebody gave me something like this, I’d be offended. “So, uh, why do you think I shouldn’t have a baby? Why is it ANY of your business??”
BTW, congrats on being nominated to the Canadian Blog Awards.
Ewww… that’s worse than Santa putting coal in your stocking at Christmas.
I wouldn’t want to be the boyfriend who decided to give one of these….they’re just trying to get press, right? They don’t think people will go for it, do they?
Well, maybe. How about the guy who ‘hooks-up’ and has regrets. He could slip it under the door, just in case.
This serves women how?
Oh. My. This is disturbing on so many levels. Good thing I haven’t eaten lunch yet, I am so revolted.
P.S. congrats on the blog award nomination. Best of luck!
I would just like to know ……..
What have we come to as a nation?
