I just signed up for this September 16th luncheon conference. You can too here.
Description:
Melissa says
Do you suppose that any of those clinicians oppose RU 496? It seems (although my French is not stellar, so I may have missed something) that the appropriateness of abortion is taken as a given, and now we’re just talking logistics about the various methods of doing the deed.
Paul says
Thanks for your caution, Melissa.
You do have a point, especially since the slogan of the sponsoring organization translated into English is, “For choices and rights in sexual and reproductive health”. Also, all of the speakers seem to be strong supporters of contraception – at the very minimum. One is even the medical director of an abortion and birth control clinic.
The deck does seem to be stacked at this event.
Faye Sonier says
I don’t think caution is needed. It’s valuable to hear what the other side has to say, and to learn what data they are relying on.
(It’s not like I’ll somehow become pro-choice from watching a pro-choice RU-486 panel discussion.)
I think it serves the pro-life movement to be as informed as possible. And to understand well the arguments that the other side advances.
Andrea Mrozek says
I’m confident Faye didn’t post this with an eye to endorsing it. She posted it as a learning opportunity. I’m hoping she can jot down notes and share what it is that folks like that are teaching.
