Hitting bottom

June 9, 2010 by Brigitte Pellerin 7 Comments

Well, who knows? Maybe that’s not even close to as desperate as some people can get. Imagine that: Rumours suggest Sarah Palin might have had breast implants. As in, we don’t really know this. We just think she looks slightly bustier. So obviously that must mean…

BREAST IMPLANTS!!!!

The world may never recover.

Every flat-chested girl knows that shirts like that make your boobs look bigger. I’m not convinced!

Um, that might be read wrong. I mean, bought a great new shirt AND a new bra.

If she did get implants – which we still don’t know – then the objection is not that she got implants. No, the objection is that as a very dedicated social conservative, one who fights against just about anything involving sex, one who believes that to merely look upon a breast of anyone other than your wife is psychologically damaging… it’s the hypocrisy that annoys people.

Same reason people react more to republican sex-scandals than to democrats in similar situations.

Or maybe in the past she purposely didn’t wear things that would acknowledge her breasts (loose fitting power suits etc.), knowing full well that the media would have painted her as a busty bimbo. They really showed her.

Or, as the mother of 5 children, she’s already shown that she’s not afraid of sex or its natural consequences, and probably enjoys it in a moral environment. I’m not aware of any movement among social conservatives to ‘hate’ breast implants carte blanche. The hypocrisy is from the left side, that says that all things sexual are good (and the more ‘diverse’ the better), but then can’t resist commenting on a social conservative who lives within the moral limitations she imposes on herself. Your straw man says a bit more about you than Sarah, Suricou.
