Well, last year during that particular university’s “Question Everything” campaign, they shut down a display by Palestinian students protesting the living conditions of Palestinians living in Israel.
That being said, every time I saw the huge “Question Everything” billboards on OC Transpo buses, I was struck by the irony given the repressive action against the Palestinian students.
If I were Maria’s mother, or the mother of any of the other young adults involved, I would be proud! Proud of their conduct. Proud of their conviction. Proud of their courage.
