November 4 is coming right up and it marks the closing event for 40 Days of Life in front of the Bank and Sparks street abortion clinic in Ottawa. Starts at 7 pm and there will be prayer and hymn singing and general encouragement, I am told. Which every pro-lifer engaged in the fight against abortion could use, I’m sure.

As you are profoundly aware – words matter. Our choice of words is important. The “Pro”-Choice side recognized that years ago when they adopted that moniker to define their movement.
So I would suggest that Pro-Life people should stop referring to places that perform abortions, as “clinics”. In a medical context, a “clinic” is where you go to be healed. Or at least have your medical/physical condition treated and improved. Use of the term “clinic” in the context of an abortion facility does a disservice to the word.
I would suggest that the closing rally is not in front of the….Sparks street abortion “clinic”. It is in front of the abortion facility, perhaps. But a clinic it is not 🙁
