Well, I’ll never vote Liberal again, as long as this guy is at the helm. Women’s rights my petootie! I would like him to explain to us just how full access to abortion will improve the health of women in countries where their medical clinics don’t have access to basic medicines, antibiotics, and sterilization equipment.

Sheesh, I would like to suggest that we provide all these Liberal men with some heavy duty elastics, the kind that they use on lobsters’ claws, so that they can keep their you-know-whats from getting on. They go on and on about what they need to give women, when they cannot ever envision that men should be able to restrain themselves. What a duffus!

I think it is helpful to recall that three Liberals that voted against this motion were Paul Szabo, Dan McTeague and John McKay and seven other of their male colleagues did not take part in the vote. This turn of events helped to defeat the motion. It seems this anti health motion was not put forward be ‘these liberal men’ but by one Liberal man, Ignatieff. It is striking to note that this issue is not one that separates men from women nor conservatives from liberal. It separates people as they position themselves with respect to ‘life’.
