Over to you, normal funny guys

September 30, 2009 by Brigitte Pellerin 6 Comments

Jennifer Aniston reveals what, to her, is the perfect guy.

The actress — who has dated Vince Vaughn, John Mayer and Bradley Cooper since her 2005 divorce from Brad Pitt – says she’s looking for a “normal” and “funny” guy.

“Nothing other than be a gentleman,” the 40-year-old singleton said of her ideal man. “A normal, nice guy. That’s all any girl wants I think. Maybe someone who is kind and funny.”

    *Ahem*

    Hello there, Ms. Aniston…

Perhaps its my youth, but I find that 95-100% of women will say this, but a small minority actually mean it.

Perhaps she should try being a normal woman, rather than the preened, adulated and pampered spoiled child that she is. But then again, is anyone normal in Hollywood where reality is the reflections of multi-mirrors?

I strongly suspect she is just repeating whatever her PR people told her she needs to say. She is a sex symbol (though that pic doesn’t look at all attractive to me, for some reason), and sex symbols don’t work quite as well if they appear too unattainable. Feed the fantasies of the fans by giving them some slim hope that maybe they might be in with a chance, and her popularity rises. Reveal that she’s a stuck-up celeb who won’t even give the time of day to any man with less than a seven-figure annual income, and her popularity falls.

Suricou: You don’t *always* have to be such a party pooper. Sometimes, we’re just trying to have fun for no reason. Like little kids splashing through puddles just because.
