If you’re pregnant, trying to conceive, or think you might be pregnant, there’s a new study you should be aware of.
The risk of miscarriage may be higher among women who take certain anti-inflammatory drugs in early pregnancy, a new study suggests.
The nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or NSAIDs in the study included ibuprofen such as Advil, naproxen, diclofenac, and celecoxib (Celebrex), some of the most common medications used during pregnancy, according to earlier research.
Just to be safe, I’m going to switch out the Advil in the medicine cabinet for aspirin.

I was always told not to take aspirin during pregnancy. This study about advil potentially increasing the chance of miscarriage is for early pregnancy.
“Although the exact cause is not known, Reye’s Syndrome is a potentially fatal condition in children that can cause a number of harmful effects involving organs such as the brain, liver and kidneys and is associated with Aspirin use with viral illnesses (chicken pox, measles and other viral colds).
Documented cases of Reye’s Syndrome have occurred with no Aspirin present and the study of Reye’s Syndrome and Aspirin use has shown a mild association through a number of epidemiological studies. It is widely accepted amongst paediatricians and family doctors in North America that Aspirin (known also as salicylic acid or ASA) should not be given to children before the age of 19.”

Maybe stick with Tylenol. Or just suffer with the headache.
I meant to say that the quote is regarding aspirin, not advil.
