I laughed out loud at the headline alone but the quotes are even better:

Yes, yes. I’m sure they do.

I find it rather annoying when a socio-political debate is being decided not by the strength of arguments, but by which side is capable of breeding the most followers.

I have Bob Dylan’s ‘The Times They Are a-Changin’ clanging away in my head right now. 🙂

The people who have kids ultimately win. It was true of my French Canadian ancestors, and it’s true of pro-lifers.

I wouldn’t say that this debate will be decided solely because one side can “breed the
most followers”. Children do grow into adults with thoughts and opinions of their own.
However, many of us who were born into pro-life families are daily presented with this “argument” for being pro-life: our parents’ attitude of selfless love. I am the youngest of thirteen children, and my mother was nearing 46 when I was born. I know they had their share of troubles, yet my parents chose life for me and all my siblings. One of the many reasons I choose to be pro-life is that I have seen the joy that derives from choosing life, even in difficult circumstances, and I am grateful that life was chosen for me. I don’t think my parents thought of it as “breeding followers”.
On the other hand, I have never encountered a single person who radiated joy because they had chosen (or been coerced into) abortion, and obviously their aborted children do not grow up to become “followers” of the idea that it is a good choice.

And it’s why in another couple of centuries, most of the world may very well be dominated by Islam.

Although, statistics show that women who have an abortion are already mothers. Which boggles my mind.
Jennifer Derwey says
I’m the ProLife product of a ProChoice woman who made the decision to have me. I don’t think every ProLife woman gives birth to a ProLife child either.

No, but people inherit social, political and religious views from their parents and keep them far more often than they differ.
Nicole says
definitely. as much as the prochoicers may want to believe the prolifers are simply breeding more, the more terrifying notion may be more people are finding logic and reason in prolife arguments. what? they weren’t conned into being prolife? that must seem unfathomable.
and yet, here it is…
