I think I’m supposed to be offended by this, a doll that is for little girls and it mimicks breastfeeding. Would I buy it? Probably not. Would it be “sexual” for a little girl to play with this doll? No. Is it a bit weird? Probably yes.
We should all return to the days of Little House in the Big Woods, where Ma lovingly made Laura a cloth doll that didn’t mimick anything. And where they poured syrup on the snow and it turned into hard candy! And where the smoked their own meat in a little hut out back. How I loved those books.

I find it weird, but I have to admit that while I would probably throw it in the Salvation Army donation bin if someone bought one for my own girls, I like the idea. Boobs are for feeding babies, this promotes that idea and seems to get there at an early age before the erroneous ideas that boobs are for push-up bras and plunging necklines kick in.

My youngest sister is 8 years younger than I (the eldest) am, in a family of four girls. When Mum was nursing the baby, the older three of us would play house, and whoever was playing mommy that day would hiike up her shirt, and pretend to nurse the baby. We didn’t see anything odd in it, although Mum probably thought it was weird, she never stopped us.
