Apparently the Turkish PM made comments recently against abortion. He also added he is against Caesarean sections. A bit odd, that last part. However, if I were an abortion supporter, I would not carry a banner bringing together Caesarean deliveries and abortion.
On Sunday, dozens of women demonstrated in Istanbul, carrying banners reading, “Is the right to abortion the prime minister’s business?” and “It’s our womb, we have Caesarean delivery or abortion,” according to Agence France-Presse (AFP).
Kind of reminds folks that it may well be a woman’s womb, but it ain’t her body.
