The CUSA argument is always the same: “Students have complained and they find it offensive” (though we all know it’s really just a CUSA bias).

If I’m Lifeline, tomorrow I go on campus and find examples of sexually offensive signs put out by other groups on campus. Then I stand outside the Sunday church service on campus and ask students to sign a petition if they also find them offensive.

    Carleton then has two choices:

    1. Shut the other groups down (and really start a freedom of speech uprising)
    2. Ignore the petitions and undermine their go-to argument

    The conversation afterwards:

Ruth: “we have 128 people who signed this petition in opposition to the content of these three groups and nothing happened…how many people can you prove oppose us?”
CUSA: “wait…we thought this was all just about opinions?”
