Yes, it was a hoax

November 24, 2010 by Andrea Mrozek 4 Comments

So the web site getting people to vote on whether a baby should be born or aborted really is a hoax. What a twisted thing to do.

I can really only think of one thing more twisted, and that’s the very many clinics we have actually aborting babies daily and calling it “women’s rights.”

I disagree that the hoax is twisted or stupid. It may be unsettling and distasteful, but that was likely a part of its grand design. It certainly got a lot of people talking and may have advanced the knowledge of some about what it means to treat an abortion decision as lightly as so many appear to do.

Stupid and twisted really only describes the site if it were real.

I have to agree with Lauri. There is so much absurdity in the pro-abortion position, it’s impossible to get the attention of fence sitters by simply telling the truth. I bet the hoax broke through a few mind barriers.

As I said, I think it’s twisted, but not by comparison when you consider what we actually do all around us, and that is abort babies as a matter of routine course, without batting an eye.

I have to agree that it probably did take a couple of people by the collar and shake them, and there’s precious little that does that in our apathetic world. I can call this stunt twisted and, oddly, still appreciate what it achieved, which was to make even stalwart pro-abortion folks feel uncomfortable. I certainly did. (And I did NOT vote, because that was to me buying into the foolishness. I didn’t want to play the game.)

If you read the wife’s comments on her blog, you will have to worry whether their marriage is going to survive this. They definitely have communication issues and now the wife has major resentment issues as well.
