…literally, anything. I’ve got mixed emotions about capitalizing on a girls’ first period, but as a mother of three girls, I guess I like the idea of making the whole experience less scary than the nightmare gym teacher presentation I had when I was a kid. I can`t believe this business is seen to be profitable. I do all that for my girl (whose autistic, btw).
I’m awaiting the arrival of menstrual underwear in Canada. I’ve looked and it seems you can’t get it here. Or even have it shipped.
Did you get the same video that I did? I’m not all that sure if it is better to be initiated into the *joys* of womanhood by a scary gym teacher or by a super-annoying nine-year-old know-it-all at summer camp. Don’t mothers give their kids a heads-up on the birds and bees anymore?
Just as an aside, how many people, do you suppose, would actually sign up for this? The price is easily twice what you would spend shopping for monthly supplies, even if you didn’t buy on sale. I’m not sure of the use of tampons by girls so young. Toxic shock syndrome and all. And I’m not sure about the message of a domineering queen bee bullying the other girls when it comes to something so personal. Suck it up? That’s not much encouragement for a girl clearly needing a prescription of anaprox.
