“Your life is not over”

April 4, 2016 by Andrea Mrozek 3 Comments

Wise words from a young woman. Wish there was more out there like this, stories from women who face an unplanned pregnancy and keep the baby. How great that someone was able to encourage her, that there was a place to go, even though she was very angry at the time. I’d love to go more in depth with her on how things are going, how she is achieving her goals, what kind of help she is getting, what has been the most difficult, what has been the most rewarding. That kind of thing. Certainly seems to be a bright, young woman–and with a bit of perspective, it’s hard to see how her beautiful daughter will “ruin” her life.sisters-931131_960_720

A woman who experiences an unplanned pregnancy also deserves the unplanned joy that goes along with it. I wonder what the pro-choice activists would say about this one–the person at the crisis pregnancy center was a little bit hard on Megan, yet Megan listened to her and ultimately chose life for her daughter. I wonder if the pro-choicers would say that she was brow-beaten into carrying her child to term, and how they would reconcile that with the joy she experiences with her new daughter?

Very good question. Unplanned joy. Sounds like a book title. 🙂

A little write-up from Megan about this video:
“It is with great honour that I had the privilege to share my story with Choice42 in hopes to spread awareness to other women who may be facing an unplanned pregnancy, and to encourage them to not go through with abortion!! I was not in the most ideal situation when I fell pregnant however at the time my unborn child still deserved to have LIFE despite all that I was going through and about to face. When I fell pregnant I was in college addicted to drugs, had no job, & my boyfriend ; the father of our baby was out of the country and had no way of staying permanent in Canada. It goes beyond that but I still chose LIFE!!!! Because every life deserves a chance.

So today I stand with my daughter and my boyfriend Mark as we are together as a family now AND so happy that we are able to share our experiences so that other individuals can make a change in their thoughts and beliefs and help impact others!! A LIFE IS A LIFE NO MATTER HOW SMALL.

Choosing LIFE is a COURAGEOUS thing to do. Now when I look at my beautiful daughter EVERYDAY and know that her life changed MY LIFE, and that she was worth it ALL, I feel so happy and thankful that I had cancelled that abortion appointment because life simply wouldn’t be the same without her.” – Megan
