Turkey

May 30, 2012 by Andrea Mrozek Leave a Comment

Apparently the Turkish PM made comments recently against abortion. He also added he is against Caesarean sections. A bit odd, that last part. However, if I were an abortion supporter, I would not carry a banner bringing together Caesarean deliveries and abortion.

On Sunday, dozens of women demonstrated in Istanbul, carrying banners reading, “Is the right to abortion the prime minister’s business?” and “It’s our womb, we have Caesarean delivery or abortion,” according to Agence France-Presse (AFP).

Kind of reminds folks that it may well be a woman’s womb, but it ain’t her body.

The New Abortion Caravan gets started today in Vancouver

May 29, 2012 by Andrea Mrozek 2 Comments

Be forewarned that this YouTube clip about the start of this new campaign has graphic content. I know our readers are split on whether to use graphic content like this. However, in overturning the old status quo the “angry women” who wanted abortion certainly used graphics–what do you call dumping a coffin in front of the Prime Minister’s residence? Killing is bloody and messy. Therefore, abortion is bloody and messy. While I don’t use those posters myself, I do support those who do, because I believe it reminds the complacent and the apathetic that abortion is the killing of a human being, something our country chooses not to notice or care about.

How to bully a fetus

May 28, 2012 by Andrea Mrozek Leave a Comment

When MP Maurice Vellacott made a claim that abortion was the worst sort of bullying, I thought it was very silly. But then many members of the media picked up on it, and I thought, wow, the only thing sillier than that proposition are members of the media! Hats off to Mr. Vellacott for playing them like a cheap fiddle.

Now we have comedians on the pro-abortion side writing up satire to make fun of the whole thing. It is generally acknowledged far and wide that I have the ability to laugh. Loud and hard. And often. But with this attempt at humour, I don’t laugh. And it’s not because I don’t share their views. I don’t share Stephen Colbert’s views but he is just too funny not to laugh. No, I don’t laugh when I read this because… it’s not terribly funny. To me, it is lame satire.

That said, a friendly pro-life reader sent this to me and she said she laughed. So. To each his own, I say. Except where killing innocents is involved, at which point, I draw the line.

When abortions fail

May 25, 2012 by Andrea Mrozek Leave a Comment

Not often we get to see this case study, since abortions most often do have the intended effect of killing the baby. However, I believe this mother’s reaction would be the case for the vast majority of women who go for abortions:

I didn’t want him when I went to have an abortion but that’s not the case now.”

Then there’s this:

When the day comes for me to explain to my son what happened I will tell him hoping he understands.”

Crazy world, where a woman can try to kill her child, then be grateful she has him, but still sue for benefits. While I regret the fact that she did sue for benefits, I hope those payments are a daily reminder for the abortion doctor that he/she kills kids for a living.

Pro-life America

May 24, 2012 by Andrea Mrozek Leave a Comment

It’s a good day! Gallup poll says many more Americans identify as pro-life than pro-choice:

The 41% of Americans who now identify themselves as “pro-choice” is down from 47% last July and is one percentage point below the previous record low in Gallup trends, recorded in May 2009. Fifty percent now call themselves “pro-life,” one point shy of the record high, also from May 2009.

Your daily dose of really bad ideas

May 24, 2012 by Andrea Mrozek Leave a Comment

Bar codes in humans from birth! Courtesy of American sci-fi author, Elizabeth Moon, who has clearly never lived under a totalitarian government. “In fiction it would work,” says she. Mmmmmm. Yes. As would sticks of gum that make a meal and root cellars that take you to another era.

A prince of a man

May 24, 2012 by Andrea Mrozek Leave a Comment

A real prince. I totally love the conviction of this guy:

Hereditary Prince Alois of Liechtenstein has threatened to step down from his royal duties if a citizen-led initiative to limit his vetoing power proves successful. The citizens’ initiative gained momentum last year when the 43 year-old prince threatened to veto the results of a referendum should the majority opt to legalize abortion in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy and in cases of fetal deformity.

The power of one. It might not change anything but he’d go down in history as having stepped down over this issue. I always wondered what would happen if, for example, then Governor General Michaelle Jean had stepped down rather than receive Henry Morgentaler into the Order of Canada. Would have been a nice statement, anyway.

A blogger opens up about her past

May 23, 2012 by Natalie Sonnen Leave a Comment

“Wow.”  One reads an article like this and really, all that comes to mind is, “wow.”  She’s got guts.

Today I write this past so that I may finally own up to what it is I have done and make the necessary reparations for my crimes so that others will know just how fundamentally soul-destroying abortion is.

_______________________

Andrea adds: That it took her 15 years to struggle through this is an indication of how traumatic abortion is. Also, beyond the emotional/spiritual struggle, this struck me:

These abortions directly caused a medical condition known asincompetent cervix which resulted in the premature birth of another son who died after a week long struggle in the NICU in 2001.

How can this be? Because abortion is such a simple, easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy, run-of-the-mill procedure. It does not cause any side effects! for the sheer ease of it all. (Parroting the words of your average abortion advocate.)

Lolo Jones

May 22, 2012 by Andrea Mrozek 1 Comment

[youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoYGtlbaGcU]

Not gonna lie: I had not heard of Lolo Jones until she announced she’s waiting until marriage to have sex. She is, apparently, the best hurdler in the world and has made her stance on sexual ethics public. Very public. Hats off to her; young girls desperately need role models and it looks like she could be a good one (from the little I know thus far).

Imagine if instead of parading girls through a “sex exhibition” at taxpayer-funded museums we took them out to push themselves at track and field, or whatever area of life they choose. The low standards we set before our young people today boggle the mind.

The New Abortion Caravan

May 22, 2012 by Andrea Mrozek 2 Comments

High time. Watch this.

Sex selection abortion. The concealing of abortion-related stats. Late term abortion. Discussions over when life begins. And now, the New Abortion Caravan, thanks to the Canadian Centre for Bioethical Reform, here to right the wrong that these old-school feminist women inflicted on us in 1970.

Change is in the air and that’s good news.
